Yoti App

Yoti is a digital identity platform, providing people and businesses with a simple and secure way of proving who they are. 

With over 2 billion people in the world owning a smartphone, Yoti gives people control of their identity by putting it in the palm of their hand through a simple mobile app.

The way people prove their identity today is outdated: carrying around valuable documents like Passports and Driving Licenses are expensive to replace if lost and people have to share more information than they wish to. They are beholden to the document.

There is also a huge part of the world's population who either do not have or are not eligible for a form of identity documentation.

Through a user centred approach the strategy for the design of the experience took shape through research and discovery in collaboration with the tech and business development teams. 

The goal was to create an experience that felt safe, trustworthy and always put the user in control. Woven into the experience were the challenges around educating users on biometrics, encryption and authentication. The design of the experience, how it looked and worked had to empower people to feel that a universally recognised digital identity could be the norm and something they'd feel safe using on a daily basis, versus the sacred and hallowed ground of traditional identity documents.
